Privacy policy

This policy explains how the Lake Park Bowls app for iPhone and Android ("the app") handles information. The app is made by Asylum LLC, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA ("we", "us").

The short version

There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or other contact details.
Your settings, custom bowls, stats and trophies are stored only on your phone. We don't receive them.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device and usage data to show and measure those ads, as described below.
Buying Lake Park Pro removes the ads.

Information stored on your phone

The app saves your game settings, your bowl designs, your initials if you add them to your bowls, unfinished matches, stats, trophies and whether you have bought Lake Park Pro. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Advertising

If you haven't bought Lake Park Pro, the app shows an ad between some ends using Google AdMob. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

device identifiers, such as the advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, Advertising ID on Android), where you allow it;
your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
information about your device, such as model, operating system and language;
information about ads you see and tap, and about how the app performs, including crash and diagnostic data.

On iPhone, the app asks for your permission before your advertising identifier can be used for tracking, and you can change this at any time in Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, and in other places where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown, and a Privacy and ads link in the start menu lets you change your choice. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.

Purchases

Lake Park Pro is bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment. We don't receive your payment details; the app is only told whether the purchase went through so it can unlock Pro.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information, we don't run our own analytics, and the app has no chat, sign-in or social features. If you email us for support, we use your email only to reply to you.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can opt out of ad tracking in your phone's settings, change your ad consent from the start menu where offered, or buy Lake Park Pro to remove ads. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we don't hold personal information about players, requests about ad data are best made to Google, but you can always contact us and we will help.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
